Summary

Superspy middle schooler Ben Ripley is finally going to take SPYDER down, once and for all in this latest addition to the New York Times bestselling Spy School series。

Stranded in Mexico after nearly capturing the leaders of SPYDER, thirteen-year-old Ben Ripley desperately needs to take a shower。 But even more so, he and his spy school friends need to come up with a new plan to defeat their enemies, their only clue a key that opens…something。

The Mission: Go rogue from the CIA, join up with the British MI6 to locate the leader of SPYDER, the enigmatic Mr。 E, and bring down the evil organization once and for all。

Only it won’t be easy。 They’ll have to deal with rival evil splinter factions, devious double-crosses and learning to drive on the opposite side of the road。 But they have no other choice: this is their last and final chance to crack the code on SPYDER。

This book was amazing。 They some of the characters who are minor and 2d and gave them an important role in this book。 The plot is great and I found myself not being able to stop reading。 I do have to rate this 4/5 stars though, as I thought most of the humor wasn’t really funny。

My name is Catherine, and I'm hoping to help my daughter and her friends finally bring an end to SPYDER。 We've discovered a flash drive that can bring the evil organization down, but we need to find the creator to decode the encryption。 Luckily, the criminal lives in England, where I'm from, but he lives in a remote castle and won't allow anyone inside。 He doesn't trust humans, so all of his services and security are done by computer。 We're used to Ben coming up with plans to save the day, but h My name is Catherine, and I'm hoping to help my daughter and her friends finally bring an end to SPYDER。 We've discovered a flash drive that can bring the evil organization down, but we need to find the creator to decode the encryption。 Luckily, the criminal lives in England, where I'm from, but he lives in a remote castle and won't allow anyone inside。 He doesn't trust humans, so all of his services and security are done by computer。 We're used to Ben coming up with plans to save the day, but he seems to be off his game。 I wonder if his crush on my daughter has anything to do with it, although Erica views friendship as a liability。 SPYDER has something in the works that will happen very soon, and it will probably result in bad things happening to Europe and the United States。 I think everyone has talents they can offer, although my ex-husband may be the exception。 We're going to need all the help we can get。 I've found you can enjoy these books independently, although it's always best to read a series in order。 You just need to know the main characters are kids learning to be spies, and they're constantly trying to save the world。 If you've read other books in the series, then you understand the gist of what's going on。 Ben's always liked Erica, a superstar junior spy, but things get complicated with Zoe forcing him to decide if he actually has feelings for her。 Ah, the complications of teenagers dealing with emotions。 The entertaining parts of the book are Ben's plans to thwart SPYDER, the action, and the zany characters。 The computer criminal is starving for attention, and Erica's dad is finally admitting that he's not a very good spy。 The author adds a twist to the plot, as he suggests there might be another evil organization wanting to bring down SPYDER。 It's not clear if this is true, but the possibility is still out there。 Overall, this book and the rest of the series present adventures featuring teenage spies saving the world。 Humor and emotion are sprinkled in to create engaging stories。 I've enjoyed all of the books so far, and I recommend you give them a shot。 。。。more

Do not read this book。 From page one it's juvenile trashy stuff。 I'm really mad about this, I mean, I was totally hooked on the series。 You start seeing red flags in the second book, I wish I would have stopped there。 Do not read this book。 From page one it's juvenile trashy stuff。 I'm really mad about this, I mean, I was totally hooked on the series。 You start seeing red flags in the second book, I wish I would have stopped there。 。。。more

I am aware that at sixteen, I am not within the target age range for this book。 Did that stop me from reading this until 2am last night? Absolutely not。 Will it stop me from reading the next book in the series? Absolutely not。 Because these books are amazing。Anyways, I'm running on four hours of sleep so here's my lack-of-sleep induced rant that definitely has to do with my own personal issues that I am externalizing and not, in fact, any real issues with the book。 (view spoiler)[WHAT ARE ZOE AN I am aware that at sixteen, I am not within the target age range for this book。 Did that stop me from reading this until 2am last night? WHAT???? WHAT ABOUT BEN AND ERICA??? (hide spoiler)](view spoiler)[Let me explain: I know that Ben and Zoe are good friends, and that Zoe likes him, but I am just having trouble believing he can just move on from Erica like that??? Okay, yes, it was a little ambiguous where exactly the Zoe-Ben thing is going, so I'm not saying it's a guarantee, but he was quite quick to emphasize to Zoe that the hand-holding thing with Erica meant nothing, and then Zoe and Ben held hands。 But in the previous books, I think he would have fixated more on Erica holding his hand (even though it was because she was blinded)。 I don't know—even if it doesn't go in a romantic direction (given that they are literally 13), I am just a bit surprised that Ben's attention has shifted from Erica。 I guess, in my experience, crushes on people you actually know don't tend to go away ~quickly~ or ~at all~ so his lack of focus on Erica was a bit surprising。 He tended to be way less conscious of Erica throughout this book (and the last one for that matter) and middle school Sadie is not happy about it。 (hide spoiler)]In conclusion, I need to go and talk to some real people。 But before I go do that—I should quickly mention how well this book subtly avoids and dismantles gender roles and stereotypes。 Especially in a book for young people, it's very refreshing。 。。。more

This book is the 7th book of the Spy School series。 I have been reading this series for a long time now, and haven't been able to finish it。 I wanted to read this because I really like the other books and it was a fun read。 The main character Ben Ripley is a spy at a young age。 He is about my age and has the same likes as I do。 He's good at math and this helps him in his spy career。 I like books that I feel a connection with the characters and am similar to them。 I really liked this book and wou This book is the 7th book of the Spy School series。 I have been reading this series for a long time now, and haven't been able to finish it。 I wanted to read this because I really like the other books and it was a fun read。 The main character Ben Ripley is a spy at a young age。 He is about my age and has the same likes as I do。 He's good at math and this helps him in his spy career。 I like books that I feel a connection with the characters and am similar to them。 I really liked this book and would recommend it to other boys in 8th grade。 。。。more

As good as the earlier books - quick-paced and just as harrowing, with cameo appearances from earlier characters and almost a tour of London (the characters might have liked more 😂。 It's been really fun the last two books getting out of the United States。 After all, spies often work overseas。 And so much fun that the spy students get to work with Erica's mother, who works for MI6。 A truly international collaboration against evil, as Ben Ripley tries to get out of the crosshairs of SPYDER。 We've As good as the earlier books - quick-paced and just as harrowing, with cameo appearances from earlier characters and almost a tour of London (the characters might have liked more 😂。 It's been really fun the last two books getting out of the United States。 After all, spies often work overseas。 And so much fun that the spy students get to work with Erica's mother, who works for MI6。 A truly international collaboration against evil, as Ben Ripley tries to get out of the crosshairs of SPYDER。 We've read this far out loud as a family basically non-stop。 We have a 3-day hiatus (at least) waiting for the next book to arrive in stock at our local bookseller。 There were actual tears shed over this。 。。。more

Good, but I feel like I’m getting a little tired of this kind of story。 Ben’s character does not resonate as that of a 7th or 8th grader。 He tends to talk like an adult。 I missed his incredible math calculations。 Throughout the book I only distinctly remembered one of them。 I feel like there needed to be more of an interaction between Catherine, Alexander, and Erica。 I think that the book would have been more interesting if Cyrus was added in, instead of the five pages that he got devoted to his Good, but I feel like I’m getting a little tired of this kind of story。 Ben’s character does not resonate as that of a 7th or 8th grader。 He tends to talk like an adult。 I missed his incredible math calculations。 Throughout the book I only distinctly remembered one of them。 I feel like there needed to be more of an interaction between Catherine, Alexander, and Erica。 I think that the book would have been more interesting if Cyrus was added in, instead of the five pages that he got devoted to his character。 。。。more

Erica has changed so much from our perspective, and her entire character too。 Her change is very evident in this book, where she tells Ben that because of him, she now doesn't think that friends are liabilities, but rather assets。 She asked Ben to help guide her when she was temporarily blinded, she didn't just try to do everything by herself。 We also get to see an insight on Erica's dorm room, which is so surprising。 She has posters of KITTENS on the walls! She has GINGHAM PILLOWS in her dorm!Sh Erica has changed so much from our perspective, and her entire character too。 Her change is very evident in this book, where she tells Ben that because of him, she now doesn't think that friends are liabilities, but rather assets。 She asked Ben to help guide her when she was temporarily blinded, she didn't just try to do everything by herself。 We also get to see an insight on Erica's dorm room, which is so surprising。 She has posters of KITTENS on the walls! She has GINGHAM PILLOWS in her dorm! She drinks TEA! and no weapon in sight。 Were talking about the best spy and spy-in-training in the world, the girl who can beat 10 men in combat effortlessly!!! The cold, calculating, calm Erica!!!It's so surprising。 One other aspect I love about this series is the author introduces greater, bigger, world-wide topics into the novels。 This time it's feminism。 Even though he also introduced a world-wide topic in his last novel (Spy School Goes South), It doesn't sound cliché。 Stuart Gibbs instead uses SPYDER's main leader as a way to express feminism。 Ms。 E (originally known as Mr。 E until Mike pointed out that that wasn't really supporting feminism) was originally a CIA spy-in-training。 She was an excellent spy, but she only got a desk job, and was shown no respect。 So like Ashley Sparks, when you don't get what you want, you turn to the dark side。 I wonder if many people in the world actually did the same thing。 They almost made the cut like Ashley, but missed by just that tinny tiny bit, and lost their only chance at achieving their dreams。 I don't really blame them though, because life can be unfair to you, and when you've lost your only chance at your goal when you should've made, it's depressing and frustrating。 Thats also the reason why some people started to protest about equal rights。 。。。more
